The new kid on the block, Session Bistro is fast becoming the new hot spot of Maywood offering freshly prepared food and sushi in a casual atmosphere. Located right next door to the historic Maywood Train Station, Session’s also offers live jazz on the weekends.

2. 354 Steakhouse
This off-the-beaten-path Cuban steak and seafood restaurant is owned by the original chef of J.D.’s Steak Pit in Fort Lee. The menu offers both A Taste of Cuban choices and Old Time Steakhouse favorites. Their portions are large and their prices are reasonable.

Don’t blink or you’ll drive right through South Hackensack and miss one of the best hidden gems in the Bergen BYOB universe. Family-owned, make sure you make a reservation because weekends are busy. Order the seafood platter appetizer for four (or more) and you won’t be disappointed.

Family-owned, Wyckoff's own Aldo’s also offers a wine shop, Pane & Vino. You can bring your own, or purchase it from the shop. Aldo’s has been preparing fresh Italian food for over 25 years and they have a very loyal clientele.
