6 New Wyckoff Residents and A New Community Park

Arbor Day in Wyckoff was extra special this year as 6 trees were donated and planted at an introduction to the new Russell Farms Community Park.

The Township of Wyckoff celebrated Arbor Day at the new Russell Farms Community Park on Saturday morning. Images of what the final product of the park could be were also released.

“This is a process that started four years ago and we are finally in the phase of making improvements to the park,” said Township Mayor Rudy Boonstra. “Arbor Day is just a very appropriate day to start making improvements by planting some trees here. We look forward to making this a very usable, passive space that everyone in town can enjoy.”

Landscape Works, owned by Nelson Lee, has been donating trees to be planted on Arbor Day over the past six years.

“After running a successful business in the area for 25 years, I just feel that it is appropriate to give back,” said Lee. “I try to encourage my employees to get involved with charitable works by donating time or services. It’s important for people to give back."

Three Serbian Spruces and three October Glories were donated by Landscape Works and were planted over the Arbor Day weekend.
