One Wyckoff resident is making waves in baseball.
U.S. Merchant Marine Academy second baseman Warren Hartmann was named Landmark Conference Player of the Week helping his team to win three of its last four games.
Hartmann hit .500 at the plate, registered six RBIs, three doubles with a .714 slugging percentage as USMMA (8-8) took two of three on the road against Drew College and a home victory against rival Maritime last week.

Offensively, Hartmann was three-for-three on steal attempts with five runs scored.
In the field, Hartmann recorded 10 assists, seven putouts and was a part of three double plays.

Hartmann currently leads the league with a .479 batting average and is second in the circuit with eight stolen bases.
The Marines next play John Jay at home April 4 at 4 p.m.
