Audition for 'Sound of Music' at YMCA

Open call auditions for the Y Arts Theatre Company's production of "The Sound of Music" will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 27.

All roles are sought: males and females, all ages (children ages 6 and older and adults) all ethnicities. Actors, singers and dancers are welcome. 

Hopefuls should prepare a short song, and songs from "The Sound of Music" are acceptable. A piano accompanist will be provided, so sheet music should be brought. Also be prepared to learn a short dance combination. Bring pictures and resumes, stapled together.

Callbacks will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 30. Rehearsals begin the first week of February, and performances run May 12 to 15 at the Y's Carl Pfeifer Performing Arts Center, 691 Wyckoff Ave.
