Temple Emanuel in Franklin Lakes sponsors an hour-long, interactive discussion at 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
Rabbi Joshua Cohen will lead a discussion titled "Standing Before God: The Tefillot (Prayers) and their Meanings, Melodies, and Motions," exploring the reasons for Jewish prayers, their tunes and the meanings behind the prayer service.
The program is free and open to the public.
