How Many Snow Days Do Wyckoff Schools Have Left?

What happens when all the snow days are used? Find out.

As Winter Storm Linus forced Wyckoff Schools to close Monday and have a delayed opening Tuesday, it’s time to ask: how many snow days does your school district have? And what happens if all of the snow days are used?

According to Wyckoff Superintendent of Schools Richard Kuder, the school district has three snow days built into the school calendar and has already used two.

If the Wyckoff School District runs out of snow days, more days will be added to the end of the school year - a new procedure put in place to “secure the integrity of the April break.”

“People look forward to [Spring Break],” Kuder said, citing that extra snow days have been taken from spring recess in the past.

The current plan is to end school on Friday, June 19 but if more days are needed, school can end later, according to Kuder.

And if the last snow day is not used, the Wyckoff Board of Education will determine how the extra day is used.
