Letter: Boonstra Does 'Right Thing for Wyckoff'
Support mayor in Republican primary on June 8
To the Editor:
I am supporting my friend and colleague, Rudy Boonstra, for Wyckoff Township Committee in the Republican primary on June 8. Rudy is an experienced but humble leader who persists in doing the right thing for Wyckoff in an unassuming and consensus-building manner.
In addition to serving the community on the Township Committee for the past 2½ years, Rudy served for years on the Ramapo-Indian Hills school board and the Wyckoff School District Board of Education. Rudy is committed to strengthening the educational system for Wyckoff's children. I saw that in action recently when the Township Committee refused to make cuts to the Wyckoff school budget that would have affected core curricula and impacted the educational advancement of our kids.

Rudy stands for the principles of the Republican Party—fiscal conservatism, individual liberty and environmental conservation. On the Township Committee, Rudy has fought to protect Russell Farms and Rambaut Lake. He does not believe the government is the answer to all problems. When making decisions, Rudy never forgets the taxpayer and is sensitive to the burdens that Wyckoff residents, young and old, face in trying to pay their bills and stay in our wonderful community.
Rudy has been loyal to Wyckoff his entire life. Now is our time to show that loyalty back to him. I encourage registered Republicans and undeclared voters to vote for Rudy Boonstra in the Republican primary on June 8.
