Monday: School Boards Plan Public Meetings

1. The local Boards of Education both will meet this evening.

The Wyckoff Board of Education will convene a public work session at 7 p.m. at board offices, 241 Morse Ave. The Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education will hold a private session at 7 p.m. with a public work session to follow at 8 p.m. at board offices, 131 Yawpo Ave., Oakland.

2. The township is scheduled to pick up recycling today in Districts 2 and 6.

3. The Ramapo bowling team, ranked third in the Bergen Record's top 10, will face Fair Lawn at 4:15 at the Holiday Bowl, 29 Spruce St. Oakland. 

4. Artist Anne Carney's work is now on display at the Wyckoff Family YMCA.

Carney's "Shadow" series is being exhibited in the halls of the 691 Wyckoff Ave. facility. It features silver gelatin prints made from black & white film and hand-processed in a darkroom.

The artwork is for sale, with a portion of proceeds donated to the YMCA. For more information, contact Jennifer Sauer at the Y at 201-891-2081.

5. The  has begun registration for the 2011-12 school year.
