Get Shredded Saturday and Save a Tree
The Township of Wyckoff is giving residents the opportunity to safely dispose of their important documents free of charge.

Despite the availability of online filing systems paperwork is still necessary and can still build up. These days safety is key and the handling or disposing of said paperwork needs to be done carefully
The Township of Wyckoff has made a mobile paper-shredding vehicle available on Saturday, April 6 at the Recycling Center from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents are allowed to bring and literally watch their papers get properly disposed of free of charge.
“Residents can bring their personal papers and drop them off to be shredded,” said Township Administrator Bob Shannon. “What’s really interesting is that these mobile shredding vehicles come with a video display. A lot of folks want to see and confirm that their personal papers have been shredded so it’s really neat.”

Not only will your paper be properly disposed of, it will also be recycled. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, for every ton of paper that is recycled and redirected into post consumer production, 17 trees are allowed to grow and are not required as raw material for the production of paper.
