Sierra Club Endorses Rep. Gottheimer For 5th District

WYCKOFF, NJ — America's largest and oldest grassroots environmental advocacy group, the Sierra Club, has endorsed Rep. Josh Gottheimer for re-election in the Fifth District, the Congressman's office said in a news release.

Gottheimer cited his support for renewable energy and open space conservation as reasons for the endorsement from the 3.8 million member group.

“I am honored to receive the support of the Sierra Club and its millions of members who are committed to protecting our environment for our children and grandchildren,” Gottheimer said. “It’s important that as Americans we work together to stop climate change, keep our air and drinking water safe for our children, preserve our natural resources, protect open spaces and wildlife, invest in long-term clean energy solutions, and combat illegal dumping."
