Ratepayers Obeying Water Restrictions, Ridgewood Village Manager Says

Tank levels have risen 21 percent following Ridgewood Water's declaration of water restrictions last week, according to Village Manager Ken Gabbert.

Ratepayers under Ridgewood Water's umbrella are largely complying with the , Ridgewood Village Manager Ken Gabbert reported to the village council Wednesday night.

Tank capacity was at 76 percent despite a drought that has , according to Gabbert.

Citing a need to restore tank levels that had precipitously dwindled to 55 percent, Gabbert declared Stage II restrictions last Tuesday. The declaration prohibits irrigation on Monday, and mandates residents to follow an odd-even schedule for watering during the remainder of the week.
