Wyckoff Eatery Has Free Lunches For Gov't Workers During Shutdown

Wyckoff's Saffron has stepped up to offer free lunches to federal government workers during the shutdown.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A township restaurant has stepped up to help workers affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Saffron is offering free lunches to federal employees and their families who are not being paid during the shutdown.

"Our restaurant will be giving out our delicious Indian food to those being treated unfairly during these times," Saffron announced on its Facebook page.

Workers need to present their federal identification cards when dining at Saffron. The promotion began Sunday.

Safron is located at 327 Franklin Ave. It is open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 10 p.m. for dinner most days.
