Wyckoff Scouts Keep an Eye on Local Government
Scouts from troop 77 in Wyckoff were on hand to help earn their Citizenship in the Community merit badge. Troop 77 is also currently holding their coffee & tea fundraiser.
Troop 77 was in attendance at the Wyckoff Township Committee meeting Tuesday evening to help earn their Citizenship in the Community merit badge.
“The boys have to attend a committee meeting to earn this particular merit badge,” said Merit Badge Councilor Chris Dalenberg “They also have to follow up and write some things that concern the town and which area of the community would best handle it.”
The scouts were between the ages of 10 and 13 years old, led the Pledge of Allegiance and were invited to ask questions of the Township Committee.

“I’m thrilled every time I see some scouts walk through the door,” said Wyckoff Mayor Rudy Boonstra. “The fact that these kids are here observing government and that we can invite them to participate them in the meeting is a win-win for everybody.”
Troop 77 would also like any and all coffee drinkers to support their efforts by making a purchase through their Coffee and Tea Fundraiser. They will be selling bags of exotic fresh roasted coffees and loose teas until April 25. The order form and product sheet are attached.
