Wyckoff Township Committee Welcomes Nine New Firefighters

The volunteers took the oath of office last night.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, the Township Committee instructed the Municipal Clerk to administer the volunteer firefighter’s Oath of Office to nine township residents. The new firefighters include:

Firefighters:

  • Christopher Fox, Fire Company No. 2
  • Erick Regojo, Fire Company No. 1
  • Shane Myer, Fire Company No. 1
  • Christopher Repetto, Fire Company No. 1
  • Harald Hofmarksrichter, Fire Company No. 1

  • Ryan Pettit, Fire Company No. 1
  • Kevin Behnke, Fire Company No. 3
  • Lucas Sherwin, Fire Company No. 3

The Township of Wyckoff is served by three neighborhood volunteer fire departments. The volunteers train every Monday night to develop and fine-tune skills such as search and rescue techniques, fire suppression, fire ground communication and rescue of persons trapped in vehicles.

Wyckoff residents have been volunteering as firefighters for 107 years. They responded to 472 alarms in 2013. You can support them by attending or volunteering at the Labor Day Fireworks.
