• Police ID couple found dead in Clovis, NM home, arrest 2 suspects (lubbockonline.com) — Two people were found fatally injured in a home on York Drive in Clovis early Monday, and police have arrested two young men on first-degree murder and related charges. Officers responding to a 911 call discovered Dina and Oscar Munoz with severe head wounds; both later died. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating, and the suspects are being held at the Curry County Adult Detention Center. 
• Racino in Clovis: Here's what we know (easternnewmexiconews.com) — Plans to move the SunRay Park and Casino racino from Farmington to Clovis are facing new delays and opposition, even as city leaders tout potential jobs and tax revenue. State racing and gaming officials are sorting out technical issues, economic concerns from other racinos and tribes, and public input before a Clovis hearing and site visit that could determine if racing starts here as early as 2027 or 2028.
• Veteran coach set to receive honor (easternnewmexiconews.com) — Longtime former Clovis High girls basketball coach Miles Watters is being inducted into the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame in June 2026, recognizing a career that included a 2005 state title with the Lady Wildcats. Watters, who led Clovis to a 153-48 record over nine seasons, says he’s grateful for the support he received while coaching in New Mexico.
