Health battles explored in the wake of the country rock musician's death at 78 (primetimer.com) — Longtime country rock musician Joe Ely died Monday at his home in Taos at age 78, after complications from pneumonia, Lewy body dementia, and Parkinson’s disease. His wife and daughter were with him, and fans and fellow musicians are sharing memories of his energetic performances and warm presence. Ely had faced several serious health diagnoses since 2024.
