Concrete Series at Bowling Green Subway Station

Free outdoor concert series in downtown NYC

From July 10 to the 15th the entrance of Bowling Green Subway station will host Concrete Series, a week of free musical performances during morning and evening rush hour commutes. Produced by Sonny Gindi of the popular instagram account Vibes, acts include top trained classical musicians in the morning and contemporary artists in the evening.

Each morning features a full orchestra playing from 7:30AM to 9:30AM. The goal is to give the everyday New Yorker a little bit of beauty as they start their day. Concrete Sounds aims to offer a gentle reminder of why we chose to live in the city, being that New York is one of the only cities where creative things like this are possible.

In the evenings, from 5:30pm until 8pm, contemporary artists will perform with the same goal and empathy in mind: to give the everyday New Yorker something to go home with, some hope to keep going, some positivity after maybe a tough day. Evening shows will feature up and coming contemporary artists including JIL.
