NEW YORK CITY — Under a new rule issued Monday by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, all New York City public workers will either have to get the coronavirus vaccine, or be subject to weekly COVID-19 testing.

The new rule impacts about 325,000 city workers. It is scheduled to go into effect on Sep. 13. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has yet to say whether he will do the same with state employees.
