Bomb Threat Latest To Close Albany Jewish Center: Report

Wednesday's bomb threat is one of several that have plagued the center over the last five years, according to a report.

ALBANY, NY — The Albany Jewish Community Center was evacuated Wednesday after the facility received a bomb threat, one of several that have plagued the center over the last five years, according to a report by the Albany Times Union.

The center was evacuated around 6:45 a.m., the Times Union reported. Police later confirmed the bomb threat was sent via email.

Police searched the building and found no evidence of a bomb, News 10 reported. The building was cleared by 8:45 a.m.

Wednesday marked the fifth time since 2017 that a threat was made against the center located at 340 Whitehall Rd.
