• North Hempstead Town Board OKs convenience store expansion (longislandpress.com) — A Sunoco gas station on Willis Avenue in Albertson has been cleared to expand its convenience store by converting part of its repair shop, but only under 10 conditions aimed at protecting nearby residents. Neighbors pressed the North Hempstead Town Board about parking, late-night activity, and garbage, leading to limits on hours, parking use, dumpster placement, fencing, and a new no-left-turn rule onto Park Lane Drive.
