2 Men Shot On Long Island City Street, Police Say
Two men were shot early Sunday steps from LaGuardia Community College, according to police

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Two men were shot early Sunday on a Long Island City street corner steps from LaGuardia Community College, according to police.
Gunshots rang out near the corner of 47th Avenue and Van Dam Street just after 6 a.m. Sunday, hitting a 26-year-old man in the leg and a 27-year-old man in the arm while also grazing him in the chest, an NYPD spokesperson said.
Both men were taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, police said.

It was unclear what led up to the shooting and police had no information about possible suspects. But the two victims have not cooperated with police and refused to share details about the incident with authorities, according to the Queens Post, which first reported on the shooting.
Video posted to the Citizen App showed police tape cordoning off the southeast corner of the intersection, diagonally across from LaGuardia.
