Angry Rider Shoves, Punches Passenger On Queens N Train: NYPD

The unprovoked attacker stepped off the train at Queensboro Plaza and challenged the man to a fight, police say.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS -- One straphanger got more excitement than he bargained for out of his commute into Queens after he angered the wrong passenger on a northbound N train, police said.

The 21-year-old man was boarding the N train inside the Queensboro Plaza subway station at around 7:30 p.m. on April 29 when he was shoved aside by his soon-to-be-nemesis boarding the train, police said.

When the man confronted him about the shove, the angry passenger punched him, stepped off the train and challenged him to a fight inside the station, cops said.

The man opted to stay inside the train, but snapped a pic of his attacker before the doors closed and left him behind at the station, police said.

On Tuesday, the NYPD released that photo of the man, who police described at around 6 feet tall and 40 years old with a mustache. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a red hoodie, a black vest and dark jeans.
