ASTORIA, QUEENS — With the new bike corral on 31st Avenue up and steady, artists will have a chance to submit their proposals to beautify the space, according to the 31st Avenue Open Street Collective.

The selected artists will receive funding from the city and the collective to create an art installation on the new bike corral on 31st Avenue, near 34th Street. Artists will have until Feb. 15 to submit their ideas of murals, paintings, sculptures, or other mediums.

"Queens is home to a community of talented and diverse artists whose work deserves to be showcased," said Lola Telo, volunteer with the 31st Ave Open Street Collective. "This art installation will help us preserve and celebrate the budding history of the 31st Ave Open Street while also promoting and celebrating the work of our local artists."
