ASTORIA, QUEENS — A renowned bookshop in the neighborhood is moving to a new location this spring, expanding its space to supply more inventory for book lovers.

Astoria Bookshop will move to 36-19 30th Street sometime this spring, less than a mile away from its original location at 31-29 31st Street.

The new space's larger size was the "main impetus for the move," as the shop has "simply outgrown the space we're in,” Lexi Beach, owner of the bookshop, said in a statement.

Beach said that she aims to open at the new location by mid-May.

The owner said that the new space is about 40 percent larger than the original location and closer to Manhattan. The new venue will carry a wider variety of books, a room for mail-order operations, and a back patio for events.
