Astoria Gun Buyback Event Will Offer $200 For Working Firearms

The Queens DA's Office will exchange $200 bank cards for guns and $25 cards for rifles, shotguns, BB guns and air pistols.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — The Queens District Attorney's Office and the NYPD are teaming up to host a no-questions-asked gun buyback in Astoria on Saturday.

Officials will trade $200 bank cards for working guns and $25 cash cards for rifles, shotguns, BB guns and air pistols, according to a news release.

The buyback will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 23-20 Newtown Ave.

Firearms from active or retired law enforcement officers and licensed gun dealers will not be accepted.
