Burglar Breaks Into Astoria Tapas Bar, Nabs $6,700 Cash: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who broke into The Social, a tapas and cocktail bar on 30th Avenue, and made off with $6,700 and two tablets.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Police are looking for a man who broke into The Social, a tapas and cocktail bar on 30th Avenue, and made off with $6,700 and two tablets.

The burglar smashed the bar's front window the morning of Saturday, Feb. 8, then broke into an office and ran off with the cash and tablets, police said.

Over the weekend, the NYPD released surveillance footage of the burglary in an effort to track down the burglar.
