Burglar Nabs $13K Worth Of Jewelry From Astoria Apartment: NYPD
Police are looking for the masked burglar who broke into an Astoria apartment and stole $13,000 worth of jewelry.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A masked burglar made off with $13,000 worth of jewelry after breaking into an apartment in Astoria — and he may have been behind another burglary in the same building, according to police.
The man broke into the apartment at 27th Street and Hoyt Avenue South the morning of Aug. 29, police said.
He is also believed to have robbed another apartment in that building, according to NYPD Sergeant Mary Frances O’Donnell.

The resident of that apartment told CBS New York someone picked his lock and stole thousands of dollars worth of valuables, including diamond earrings, a Cartier watch and bracelet, passports and a Social Security card.
