Rail Breaks At Queensboro Plaza, Causing Rush Hour Subway Delays
A broken rail at the Queensboro Plaza subway station triggered "considerable" delays on the 7, E, F, M and R lines during rush hour Monday.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A broken rail at the Queensboro Plaza subway station triggered "considerable" delays between Queens and Manhattan during Monday morning rush hour, the MTA said.
The issue on the 7 line prompted a ripple effect of delays on the E, F, M and R lines, according to the MTA, which said to expect crowds and longer commutes.
While MTA crews repaired the rail, Flushing-bound trains were ending at Court Square and Manhattan-bound service on the the 7 train was only running from Vernon Blvd.-Jackson Ave., Hunters Point Ave. and Court Square, according to the transit agency.
