Off-Duty Firefighter Drives Drunk, Tries To Flee Cops In LIC: NYPD

Victor Munoz, 32, tried to flee police who pulled him over for driving drunk Saturday night, police contend.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — An off-duty firefighter stands accused of driving drunk and trying to flee the cops in Long Island City, according to police.

Victor Munoz, 32, was pulled over by cops in 108th precinct — QNS reports it was near Center Boulevard and 50th Avenue — about 11 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

Munoz then jumped out of his vehicle and tried to run away from the officers, police said.

The off-duty firefighter now faces charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and trying to flee police, Court records show. Munoz was arraigned and released on Sunday.
