Missing Long Island City Man Is Found, Police Say
A 72-year-old man who went his Hunter's Point apartment Tuesday morning was found by Wednesday, authorities said.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A senior citizen who was reported missing from his Long Island City apartment on Tuesday returned home safely the following day, police said.
Police had initially said the 72-year-old man had been seen around 10 a.m. inside his home on 21st Street near Murray Playground, police said.
A short time later, he was spotted on a surveillance camera walking south along 21st Street, according to authorities.

After asking the public for help finding him, police announced his safe return Wednesday afternoon.
