Elevator Pickpockets Steal Man's Wallet In Long Island City: NYPD
Two women made off with the man's credit cards and cash after swiping the wallet from his coat pocket, cops said.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS -- Cops are searching for two women who allegedly pickpocketed a man in the elevator of a Long Island City apartment complex.
The duo followed the 62-year-old man inside the apartments near 40th Avenue and 10th Street at around 4 p.m. on Jan. 28, police said.
When all three stepped into an elevator, the ladies managed to swipe the man's wallet - including his credit cards and $100 in cash - from his jacket pocket, cops said.

The pickpockets fled in an unknown direction immediately after getting off the elevator, authorities said.
The NYPD released video surveillance of the two women entering an elevator. One was last seen wearing a read hooded sweater, a dark green and black jacket, black pants and white sneakers. The other, wearing glasses, was clad in a black hoodie and pants.
