Hockey Training Facility Opens in Long Island City
Topline Hockey opened its second location on Thursday at 47-32 32nd Place, near Van Dam Street.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A new hockey rink was installed in Long Island City, offering New Yorkers a place to train on and off the ice.
Topline Hockey opened its second location on Thursday at 47-32 32nd Place, near Van Dam Street, with a celebration that included a live DJ, workout sessions, and competitions.
The training program, created by former NCAA and professional hockey players, Justin Selman and Connor Leen, takes place in the facility’s weight center, mentoring classroom, and synthetic ice rink.

The facility occasionally offers complementary training and equipment drives to bring hockey to underserved communities that might not be able to afford the sport.
Topline Hockey’s first location is in Newburgh, New York.
