Italian restaurant Levante will reopen next month, after a fire devastated the Xi'an Famous Foods next door and left Levante with damage.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Italian restaurant Levante is due to reopen in early March, after a fire last month devastated the building next door, home to a Xi'an Famous Foods location, and left Levante with residual damage.
Repair work is underway at the Jackson Avenue eatery and is scheduled to wrap up early next month, according to a sign posted in the restaurant's window.
Next door, at 26-19 Jackson Ave., Xi'an Famous Foods faces a more uncertain future: The popular restaurant chain's website says only that the Long Island City location is closed until further notice.
