Man Breaks Into Astoria Bagel Shop, Steals $5K: Cops
A man broke into Hot Bagel on 31st Street and stole $5,000 and packs of cigarettes, according to police.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A man broke into an Astoria bagel shop early Saturday morning and stole $5,000 and packs of cigarettes, according to police.
The man broke a window at Hot Bagel about 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 10, climbed into the shop and took the cash and cigarettes, police said.
Hot Bagel is located at 25-08 31 St., at the corner of Astoria Boulevard.

Police on Sunday released surveillance footage of the man in an effort to get help identifying the thief.
