ASTORIA, QUEENS — A man broke into an Astoria Popeyes early Monday and made off with thousands in cash, according to police.

The burglar got into the fast food joint at 32-78 48th St. through the roof about 4:30 a.m., police said.

He nabbed $4,600 from the restaurant's cash registers, then fled through a side door.
