Man Killed While Running Across BQE To Flee Car Crash: NYPD
A man was hit and killed by an SUV driver Wednesday after he ran across the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in an effort to flee another crash.
WOODSIDE, QUEENS — A man was hit and killed by an SUV driver Wednesday night after he ran across the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in an effort to flee the scene of a different car crash.
The pandemonium started just after 10 p.m., when the 30-year-old victim was driving and crashed into another car at 69th Street and Broadway in Woodside, according to police.
He jumped out of his car and ran onto the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway as the other driver tailed him, crossing the entire six-lane highway in an attempt to escape, police said.

As the man ran through traffic, a 29-year-old driver in a 2020 Chevy Suburban hit him, leaving the man unconscious and unresponsive.
By the time first responders arrived, the man was dead.
