Man Robs, Sexually Assaults Woman On LIC Subway, Police Say
A man is wanted for robbing a woman at knifepoint, then assaulting her, on a subway train moving through Long Island City, police said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A man robbed a woman at knifepoint, then sexually assaulted her on a subway train moving through Long Island City last week, according to police.
The 24-year-old victim was on board a northbound M train around 8:30 a.m. Friday, as it approached the 36th Street station, according to police.
An unknown man walked up, took out a knife and demanded the woman's property, police said. After the woman complied, handing the man her cell phone and about $50 in cash, the man then grabbed her breasts over her clothing, police said.

The man got off the train at 36th Street and fled to an unknown location, police said. The woman was not injured.
Police released photos of the suspect, described as a man with a light complexion and a heavy build, and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
