Man Tries To Rob LIC, Jackson Heights Banks In One Day: NYPD
A man tried to rob a total of $3,200 from banks in Long Island City and Jackson Heights, and robbed $230 from a Flushing bank.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A man attempted to rob thousands of dollars from three banks in Queens on Friday, ending up with about $230, police said.
Police are looking for the man that tried to rob a total of $3,200 from banks in Long Island City and Jackson Heights, and robbed $230 from a bank in Flushing on March 10, the NYPD said.
The robber first went to Citibank located at 38-18 Queens Boulevard, near 39th St., about 12:50 p.m. and passed the bank teller a note that said he needed $1,200 and no one would get hurt before he fled without the money, authorities said.

About half an hour later, he entered Ponce Bank at 37-60 82 St., near Roosevelt Avenue, and passed the bank teller a note demanding $2,000 before he fled without the cash, police said.
The robber later went to Royal Business Bank, located at 42-08 Main Street, about 1:50 p.m. and said he had a gun and demanded cash. He took $230 and fled northbound on Main Street, the NYPD said.

No injuries were reported at the banks, cops said.
Authorities released images of the robber on Monday, who is about 40 years old and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray hooded jacket, black and white sneakers, and a black facemask, police said.
