Men Arrested After Racist Graffiti Painted In Astoria Eatery: NYPD

Astoria residents Christopher Ordonez, 18, and Zlatko Basic, 20, were charged with criminal mischief on Saturday, police said.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Police arrested two men they say spray-painted a racist statement on the entrance of a restaurant in Astoria in February, the NYPD said.

Astoria residents Christopher Ordonez, 18, and Zlatko Basic, 20, were charged with criminal mischief on Saturday after authorities found an anti-Black remark on the metal gate of Sunrise, a Chinese on Feb. 18, police said.

Police released images of the men in late February after finding the spray-painted phrase at 33-20 Broadway.
