Missing Woodside Man Is Found Safe: Police

Police said a 37-year-old man who went missing from his Woodside home has been found safe.

Esteban De Jesus Zapata Hernandez​, 37, was last seen around 4:15 p.m. Saturday in a blue SUV as he left his home on 57th Street near 43rd Avenue.

Update, 9:30 a.m. Monday: Zapata Hernandez has been found "in good condition," police said.


WOODSIDE, QUEENS — Police are asking for help finding a man who went missing from his Woodside home last week.

Esteban De Jesus Zapata Hernandez, 37, was last seen around 4:15 p.m. Saturday in a blue SUV as he left his home on 57th Street near 43rd Avenue.

Police described him as about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with a thin build, light complexion, brown eyes and a bald head. He was last seen wearing a black, waist-length jacket, black jeans and black sneakers.

Police shared a photo of Zapata Hernande and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
