New Thai Restaurant Opens Its Doors In Astoria

Kam Rai Thai opened its doors on Wednesday at 43-11 28th Ave., replacing the Chinese eatery King's Chef.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Astoria residents now have an extra option to get their Pad Thai fix.

Kam Rai Thai opened its doors on Wednesday at 43-11 28th Ave., replacing the Chinese eatery King’s Chef.

The restaurant is hosting a soft opening and offering a discount throughout the end of March. The grand opening is scheduled for April.

Kam Rai Thai offers a variety of traditional Northern Thai dishes, including Larb Meng Nuer, made with minced beef, and Kao Soi Confit, which is a curry noodle soup.

The eatery also serves Southern Thai dishes such as Nam Sup Yung, which is a thick paste, and Gai Tod Hat Yai made with chicken.
