Queens Takes 3 Semifinalist Spots In 2020 James Beard Awards
Three Queens eateries and chefs earned spots as semifinalists for the 2020 James Beard Awards.
QUEENS, NY — Three Queens eateries and chefs earned spots as semifinalists for the 2020 James Beard Awards, the prestigious culinary organization announced Wednesday.
Woodside Thai restaurant SriPraPhai is one of just two New York City semifinalists for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant.
Two Queens chefs are in the running for the James Beard Award for New York State's best chef: Chintan Pandya, of the Long Island City Indian restaurant Adda, and Dumpling Galaxy's Helen You.

They are among the dozens of New York City semifinalists that will face off against foodie professionals across the nation for a coveted spot on James Beard's list of final Restaurant and Chef Award nominees, to be announced on March 25.
