Queer Tap Takeover, Speed Dating Coming To LIC Thursday Night
The night of LGBTQ owned-and-operated brews and queer speed dating is reportedly Queens' first pride-inspired tap and can takeover.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Pride is typically celebrated during the month of June, but in Long Island City a pride-themed bar takeover is coming to the neighborhood on Sept. 30.
The Baroness, a bar located at 47-18 Vernon Boulevard, is hosting the event — aptly called “It’s Always Pride at The Baroness” — which will feature beers brewed by queer owned and operated breweries and other LGBTQ inclusive brands.
Local brews by NYC’s Dyke Beer, Gay Beer, Talea Beer Co., and more, will be served at the event, which the bar says is Queens’ first pride-inspired tap and can takeover. Happy Hour

And, the event is serving up more than beers — including a “very limited amount” of pride-themed burgers, served on The Bagel Store’s rainbow bagels and dubbed “The Unicorn,” as well as giveaways.
The night will kick off with a happy hour at 7:00 p.m., followed by an hour-long queer speed dating event starting at 8:00 p.m.
