Straphanger Punched In Face After Asking To Sit: Police
The brute attacked the 63-year-old after she asked him to move his bag, police say.
LONG ISLAND CITY, NY — A man punched a fellow straphanger after refusing to give her a seat on a Queens subway train earlier this month, police say. The dustup happened aboard a Manhattan-bound E train near Queens Plaza around 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 4, the NYPD said.
The 63-year-old woman asked the seated man to move his bag so she could also sit down, police said. He refused and then knocked the woman to the ground with a punch to the face, according to the NYPD.
The woman suffered swelling and pain but refused medical attention, police said.

The attacker fled when the train pulled into a station, police said. But he was captured on video.
He's described as a man in his 20s standing about six feet tall and weighing 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green hooded jacket, dark pants and a black hat, police said.
