Suspects In Astoria Deli Stabbing Linked To String Of ATM Thefts

The NYPD says the robbers who stabbed two Astoria deli workers and took their ATM are also wanted for two ATM thefts in Brooklyn.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — The robbers who stabbed two Astoria deli workers while stealing their cash machine earlier this month have been linked to at least two other ATM thefts, police said Thursday.

The suspects in the Jan. 7 robbery at 2401 Gourmet Deli Grocery in Queens are also wanted for stealing two cash machines in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

On Jan. 6, the men assaulted and threatened to shoot two employees at the Hotel BPM Brooklyn in Sunset Park, then stole a cash machine from the hotel's lobby, police said.

The next day, in Astoria, the robbers knifed a pair of 2401 Gourmet Deli Grocery workers who were trying to stop them from taking the deli's ATM.

The men struck once more on Jan. 8 at Villa Mia Pizza in Gowanus, Brooklyn, loading the restaurant's ATM into a van and driving away, according to police.

Police are looking for at least three suspects and are offering up to $2,500 as a reward for tips.
