Target Will Open Its Doors In Long Island City In April
The retail chain will open for business on Sunday, April 2, at 1 Court Square West.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Target in One Court Square is slated to open this weekend nearly two years after Patch first reported its arrival in Long Island City.
The retail chain will open for business on Sunday, April 2, at 1 Court Square West, offering customers another spot to get produce, alcoholic beverages, and medication.
The 31,000-square-foot location includes a pharmacy and Shipt services, where New Yorkers can order pickup or opt for same-day delivery.

The Long Island City Target will employ 60 people, adding to the more than 21,000 workers in the New York and New Jersey area.
The new location will be the retail chain's 98th store in the New York and New Jersey area, and the seventh outpost in Queens.

The company said it plans to open about 20 stores this year.
