Teen Attacked With Cane On Broadway In Astoria, Police Say

Police are looking for a group of people accused of beating a fellow teenager with a cane and a stick on Broadway, authorities say.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A group of teenagers attacked a boy on Broadway in Astoria this week, beating him in broad daylight before fleeing the scene, according to police.

The 15-year-old victim was on Broadway near 48th Street around 4 p.m. Monday, when four male teenagers began to assault him, according to police.

Two of the assailants used a cane and a stick to beat him, before the group got into a white Mazda SUV and fled to an unknown location, according to police.

The victim was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition, police said.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance images showing the four suspects at the site of the attack. Authorities asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
