Teen Girl Bitten, Punched In LIC Subway Robbery Attempt: Police
A person bit a teen girl, punched her, and pulled her hair while trying to steal her phone at a Long Island city subway stop, police said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A teenage girl was bitten and punched by a person who tried to snatch her cell phone in a Long Island City subway station, according to police.
The 16-year-old girl was standing on the northbound platform at the 39th Avenue—Dutch Kills station on the N-W line around 8:30 a.m. Monday when the unidentified suspect walked up, police said.
The person tried to forcibly take the girl's cell phone, then became angry and punched the girl in the mouth, pulled her hair and bit her before fleeing, police said.

The girl was not hospitalized, though she suffered a large cut to her hand from the bite, police said.
Police released photos showing the unidentified suspect walking into the train station, and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
