LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Nearly all 7 train service in Queens halted Tuesday after the arrival of Tropical Storm Isaias prompted the MTA to close all outdoor subway stations.

The MTA stopped 7 trains from running between Hunters Point Avenue and Flushing - Main Street midday Tuesday. The agency restored service shortly before 7 p.m.

Trains still continued running underground, which means commuters can still travel between Manhattan and the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue and Hunters Point Avenue stations.
