LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A woman approached two teens in a Queens subway station and snatched the glasses right off their faces, police said Thursday.

The unusual robberies happened about 3:25 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, in the 33rd Street-Rawson Street subway station along the 7 line in Long Island City, according to the police.

Police said the robber first approached a bespectacled 19-year-old and grabbed her eyeglasses, leaving her with scratches.

Soon after that, she snatched a second pair of frames from a 14-year-old girl and ran off, police said.

The NYPD on Thursday released a surveillance photo of the suspected robber.
